During your Hawk Walk, you will learn how to handle and fly one of the centre's Harris Hawks, a species renowned for its easy-going temperament and unusually sociable nature. Your instructor will introduce you to your own hawk and, within minutes, you will set off around the magnificent Burren landscape to fly it. As you fly the hawk, your instructor will explain about the history of falconry, the hawks exceptional eyesight, their speed and agility and how the hawks are trained.

Please note that all of our Hawk Walks are private – you will have a falconer and team of hawks all to yourself, with no other people joining in. This is a unique opportunity to interact with one of natures top predators.
